Sushi Dojo is one of best Asian NYC restaurants according to The Epoch Times. And you can vote to determine just how good we are (keep reading). In coordination with the forthcoming Taste Asia 2015 Food Festival, they have selected the authentic Japanese restaurant Sushi Dojo in the categories of Best Asian NYC Restaurant; Best Sushi NYC; and, Best Tempura NYC — during their nomination period between May 1 and May 25.
In the summer of 2014 in an article where ZAGAT names Sushi Dojo Top 10, that is top 10 hottest Japanese resturants, Kelly Dobkin of ZAGAT said that “New Yorkers’ concept of Japanese cuisine has radically shifted in recent years beyond run-of-the-mill sushi and dumbed-down fusion dishes to include regional izakaya specialties, creative bowls of ramen and more.”
Sushi Dojo Selected as one of best Sushi Restaurants in America by The Daily Meal. The magazine does a profile of chef david Bouhadana, referring to him as “a 28-year-old Florida native who’s nothing short of a sushi wunderkind.” They say that he shows you corners of the sushi universe that you didn’t even know existed. “He’s chatty, funny, humble, extremely knowledgeable about every cut of fish, and, most of all, he takes what he does very seriously.”
To be included in the top 35 Sushi Bars in America is a great accomplishment, and like David, we humbly say thank you to the Daily Meal for thinking so highly of us.
